Bobby Gene Owens, age 74, of Centre, passed away on May 17, 2026.
The family will receive friends on Thursday night, May 21, 2026 ,from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, at Perry Funeral Home. There will be no funeral service, gathering only.
Mr. Owens was born on July 5, 1952 to James Scott and Lucy Lucille Graham Owens. Mr. Owens is survived by his son, Chris Robby Owens (Ann Hudgins) and daughter Cindy Annette Lockridge (Stacy Donaldson, fiance’), grandchildren, Makayla Cheyanne Lockridge, Miley Grace Lockridge, and Macie Marie Lockridge; and great-grandson, Waylon Pierce Ray; along with his brothers, James Owens (Ruby) of Centre,AL, Von Owens (Nancy) of Cave Spring, GA, and sisters, Wanda Brewer (Jack) of Cave Spring, GA , Janice Deaton (James) of Cave Spring, GA, Frances Carroll of Summerville, GA, and Patsy Garrett of Rome, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother, Jerry Owens; sisters, Nellie Ashley, Joyce Studdards, and Martha Henry.
Bobby Owens was long lived in Forney community. He loved going to Church of God in Centre. His favorite things to do were going to trade days, yard sales and car shows. He loved spending time with his family every chance he got, taking his grandchildren swimming and to the park. Bobby’s whole world was his granddaughters, Makayla Lockridge , Miley Lockridge, Macie Lockridge, and his great-grandson, Waylon Ray. He will be loved and missed deeply—always in our hearts forever!
