A Summerville woman was taken into custody after deputies responded to a disturbance call and determined she was intoxicated, according to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office. Officers with the Summerville Police Department were dispatched to a home on Hilltop Drive, where 32-year-old Haley Danielle Houge was reportedly involved in a domestic incident. When authorities arrived, they found Houge with visible injuries, including a cut to her forehead, and noted she was bleeding.

The incident report indicates Houge had allegedly been consuming alcohol prior to the altercation. Emergency medical services were called to treat her injuries, but officials said she was uncooperative with both medical personnel and law enforcement at the scene.

Based on her condition and behavior, officers determined she posed a risk to herself and others. She was subsequently arrested on a charge of public intoxication.

Houge was transported to the Chattooga County Jail without further issues. Authorities listed alcohol as a contributing factor in the incident, which was documented by responding officers.
