Gregory Crawford Jr, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with a large assortment of drugs ans a gun while being taken into custody for not paying his child support.
Police said that when officers approached, Crawford fled on foot. While fleeing, Crawford allegedly dropped a bag containing his ID, a Smith & Wesson handgun, multiple bags of marijuna, cocaine, hydrocone, packaging materials, amd a digital scale.
Crawford is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of a cocaine with intent to distribute, drug trafficking, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, felony possession of marijuana, felony distribution of marijuana, possession of drugs within 1000 feet of a school, possession of drug related objects, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, obstruction, abandonment of dangerous drugs, drugs not in original, and contempt of court.
