Mrs. Tressie Paulette Busby Carnes, age 62, of Rome

Mrs. Tressie Paulette Busby Carnes, age 62, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Carnes was born in Rome, Georgia on March 30, 1964, daughter of the late Barbara Lois Long Busby. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jason & Justin Busby. Mrs. Carnes was a homemaker and had received her Bachelor of Chemistry from Berry College. She enjoyed collecting Longaberger Baskets and found much joy in walking on the beach collecting seashells.

Mrs. Carnes is survived by her husband, Todd Ericson Carnes, to whom she was married on October 19, 2012; a daughter, Laura Kaitlyn Dempsey; and by a son, Connor Gregory Bell.

In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Carnes will be cremated. All services will be private.
