Mrs. Janice Diane Owen Treglown, age 73, of Rockmart, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026.
Janice was born in Hamilton County, Tennessee on February 25, 1953, daughter of the late Gordon Lee Owen and the late Jewel Ruddell Owen. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Donna Cochran and Sue Ihnkin.
Janice dedicated many years of her life to serving in the school system in a variety of roles. She enjoyed time with her family and having a good time. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy was her family, and she gave her heart fully and unconditionally. She will be greatly missed, and her legacy of love, service, and joy will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years, Philip Treglown; her children, Michael Jason Walters (Gina), Jennifer Marie Walters, and Jada Owen Treglown (Maryann Chavez); her grandchildren, Justin Walters, Katlyn Griffin, Jacob Walters, Philip Chase Daugherty, and Andrew Tracy; her 2 great grandchildren; her sisters, Karen Kay, and Terithia Barnett; numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation to honor her life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel from 4:00pm until 6:00pm.
