Mr. Michael Elias Peschel, Jr., age 36, of Rome

 Mr. Michael Elias Peschel, Jr., age 36, of Rome, GA, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

     Michael was born in Rome, GA, on July 7, 1989, son of Ms. Robin Freeman Peschel Long and Mr. Michael Elias Peschel, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Betty F. and Robert M. Freeman. Michael was a graduate of Rome High School. He was an extremely creative person and had a knack for anything related to the arts. From drawing to any musical instrument he picked up, Michael excelled in anything he touched. He loved to laugh, was always telling jokes and loved watching anything within the comedy genre.

     Survivors include his son, Michael Elias Peschel, III; his mother, Robin Peschel Long, Rome; 3 siblings, Jacob Peschel (Kelly), Abi Childs (Jimmy), and Ashley Niskern; an uncle, Robert Michael Freeman, Jr; numerous nieces and nephews.

     The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 4pm until 6pm at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel.
