Connie Leigh Priest, age 63, of Rome, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at an Atlanta hospital.
Connie was born in Rome, Georgia on November 29, 1962, daughter of Martha Busby Rudd and the late Charles Priest. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Tommy & Irbey Busby. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cedartown. Connie worked as a Dental Hygienist for 40 years at various dental offices with the latest being Willis Dentistry in Cedartown. She loved animals and loved international travel, visiting many different destinations around the globe.
Connie is survived by her loving husband, Lance Jay Hughes; her mother, Martha Busby Rudd; a brother, Jeffrey Priest; nieces, Anna Kate Bussey and Brandi Bussey; nephews, Jackson Bussey and Jason Bussey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
