Taylor Brooke Parris, 27, and Marcus Kip Vasquez-Ramirez, 34, both of Rome, were arrested this week after reports said they allowed their children, who are students at Armuchee Elementary School, to be truant.

Police said that their 7 and 9 year-old children received multiple notices about their children’s absences.

The parents were previously arrested last October for truancy.   Since the arrest, the children have missed 4 unexcused days of school.

Both are charged with two counts of mandatory education of children.

Parris is additionally charged with a probation violation.
