Several alcohol license extensions and new applications are scheduled to be reviewed Monday by the Rome Alcohol Control Commission. Among the items on the agenda are requests to extend previously approved package license applications for several businesses along Braves Boulevard.
Commission members will consider extending approval of a beer and wine package license for UPOP requested by Hiren Patel. The application originally received approval from the commission on September 15, 2025.
Another agenda item involves a request to extend approval for a beer and wine package license at Extra Mile for Jigarkumar Patel. That request was first approved by the commission on November 18, 2024.
Commissioners will also consider extending approval for a beer, wine, and liquor package license for Square Spirits submitted by Divyesh Kiritbhai Patel. The application was initially approved on November 18, 2024, with an additional extension granted by email on December 12, 2025.
Also on the agenda is a new beer package license request for Broad Food Express filed by Parvez Kadiwala. The store was formerly known as Miles Legacy, and a license hearing was held during the commission’s January 13, 2026 meeting.
Under new business, the commission will consider a new beer and wine package license request for West Rome Food Mart submitted by Khushi Kathiria.
The commission is responsible for reviewing and approving alcohol license applications and extensions for businesses within the city limits. Decisions made by the board determine whether establishments may sell beer, wine, or liquor for off-premises consumption.
