Ashley Morgan Bollen, 30 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she failed to provide food and water for her dog.
Police said that they found the animal in a 1 out of 10 on the Purina Body Conditioning Scale. The animal’s ribs, lumbar, vertebrae, pelvic bones and all bony prominences were evident from a distance.
The animal was found at a home on Venetian Way.
Bollen is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.
