Jacob Robert Owen, 30 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he led officers in a high speed chase on the Loop and GA 293.
Police said that Owen reached speeds of over 90 mph while weaving in and out of traffic. After eventually stopping, Owen is accused of fleeing on foot before eventually being captured.
Owen is charged with reckless driving, passing in a no assing zone, driving on wrong side of the roadway, attempting to elude police, speeding, obstruction and felony failure to appear.
