Richard Earl Poore, 48 of Dallas, was jailed in Rome after reports said he stole a car and then sold it for recycling.
Police said that Poore took a 2014 Honda Civic, valued t $5,000, and then received $325 to scrap it. Poore is also accused of forging the owner’s name on the vechile’s title.
Reports indicated that the incident occurred back on October 7, 2025.
Poore is charged with theft by taking, theft by deception, and altering, forging, and counterfeiting a motor vehicle certificate.
