An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Jimmy Maurice Gowan Jr, 23 of Rome, is facing additional charges after reports said he destroyed a tablet belonging to the county.
Reports said that the tablet was valued at $250.
Gowan is now charged with interference with government property.
Gowan has been housed at the jail since in arrest on December 4, 2025 for theft by taking and theft by deception.
