Tomas Reyes Hernandez, 54 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he called 911 and reported a fabricated crime.
Police said that they discovered that the crime Hernandez reported was untrue.
Hernandez is charged with false report of a crime and unlawful conduct during a 911 call.
