Becky Charlene Wigley, 39 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she failed to send her child to school.
Reports said that the child missed 18 unexcused days of school between April 1 and Januay 1st.
Rome City Schools said they notified Wigley of the truancy issue back in October but they continued to allow her child ro miss school.
Wigley is charged with mandatory education for children
