The Alcohol Control Commission will meet Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 5 p.m. at City Hall, 601 Broad Street, to consider several alcohol license requests and conduct a license hearing.
Commissioners will begin the meeting with a roll call and approval of minutes from the Dec. 17, 2025, meeting. Under old business, the commission will revisit a previously tabled request for a new beer and wine package license at Shop N Save, located at 1303 Shorter Ave. The application is filed by Mohammed Fuzil Shaud Rafi and was tabled during the Dec. 17 meeting.
New business includes two license requests. Commissioners will consider a new beer and wine package license for Food Mart, 1324 Martha Berry Blvd., submitted by Devin Desai. A separate request for a new beer package license will be considered for Lake Mini Mart, located at 2413 Garden Lakes Blvd., Suite B, with the application filed by Saleem Badruddin Vadsariya.
The meeting will also include a license hearing involving Miles Legacy, located at 1901 North Broad Street. The hearing stems from an alleged violation involving smoking inside the store, for which a clerk was cited. The business is licensed to Joanna Miles.
