Mrs. Wanda Faye Jacobs, age 87, of Rome, GA, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at her residence.
Mrs. Jacobs was born in Tifton, GA, on November 30, 1938, daughter of the late Joseph Elbridge LeSeuer and the late Mary John Shipman LeSeuer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Benny Ladell “Jimmy” Jacobs, and by two siblings, Rosemary Rogers and Joe LeSueur. Mrs. Jacobs was a graduate of Rome High School. Lovingly known as “Nana” by her grandchildren, she was a loving homemaker who took pride in caring for her family. Mrs. Jacobs was an excellent cook, loved watching her bluebirds, and kept her “Rock Garden” immaculate. Her flower beds, birdhouse collection, and natural areas rivaled those of “Better Homes and Gardens” magazine. Mrs. Jacobs loved Christmas and decorating her house to reflect the season. She was a storyteller through and through, and once she started, it was hard for her to stop. Mrs. Jacobs was a member of Liberty View Baptist Church and is now rejoicing in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for eternity.
Survivors include her two children, Lisa Guest (David), Silver Creek, and Greg Jacobs (Dawn), Gainesville; four grandchildren, Whitney Kelly (Owen), Zachary Jacobs, Courtney Pinson (Will), and Jacob Guest (Payton); seven great-grandchildren, Hudson Kelly, Payton Kelly, Blaine Jacobs, Britton Pinson, Bennett Pinson, Cambell Pinson, and Payne Guest; special sister-in-law, Mary Teems; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12pm on Friday, December 5, 2025, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Cowart officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11am until service time on Friday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
Pallbearers are to assemble by 11:30am on Friday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, and include: Zachary Jacobs, Jacob Guest, and Will Pinson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Liberty View Baptist Church.
