Joseph Matthew Wheeler, 27 of Lindale, was arrested this week after reports said he was found walking on railroad tracks between North 2nd Avenue and Center Street.
Police said that Wheeler refused to stop after they called to him multiple times. After approaching Wheeler, officers said that they found methamphetamine in his pants pockets.
After arriving at the jail, Wheeler was allegedly found with additional meth in a cigarette pack.
Wheeler is charged with obstruction, criminal trespass, possession of meth, crossing the guard line with drugs, and four counts probation violation.
