Murphy-Harpst Children’s Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing innovative clinical, therapeutic, and residential care for foster children across Georgia, will hold its annual Turkey Drive in Polk County on Wednesday, November 26.

The event, led by longtime volunteers Jamie and Tia Diamond, began in 2015 as a way to support families in need in Cedartown and the surrounding communities. This year, youth residents at Murphy-Harpst have joined the effort, choosing to help the Diamonds deliver food door-to-door the day before Thanksgiving.

“I decided to come back and do this again after participating last year,” says Julius, a resident at Murphy-Harpst. “I love the holidays, helping people, and giving them what they need to see them happy.”
