Ms. Annie Bell Johnson Hendrix, age 88, of Rome, GA, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, November 24, 2025.

Ms. Hendrix was born in Cedartown, GA, on September 5, 1937, daughter of the late Frank Jack Johnson, Sr., and the late Ollie Beatrice Cooley Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Hendrix, a son, David Lee Hendrix, and by 5 siblings, Louis Elizabeth Johnson, Ruby Murphy, Timothy Johnson, Mary Hall, and Frank Jack Johnson, Jr. Ms. Hendrix worked at Trend Mills and Far Yarn Mills for many years before she was forced to retire because of health reasons. She was a member of a professional bowling league in her younger days and was a proud supporter of all Veterans and Police Officer organizations. Ms. Hendrix was of the Christian faith and is now rejoicing in the presence of her Savior for eternity.

Known to start her mornings with a “Good morning Lord, Good morning World!”, Ms. Hendrix was a firecracker who never minced her words. She told you like it was but loved even harder than her feisty exterior. Ms. Hendrix was an independent woman and, after the death of her husband, refused to let anyone do for her what she could do herself. She loved flowers and meticulously kept her flower gardens immaculate. Ms. Hendrix loved the outdoors and, when her health allowed, could be found camping and fishing, especially for trout. She loved being in God’s creation and soaked up every moment she could outdoors.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Hendrix Ellison, Cedar Bluff, AL; 2 grandchildren, Heather Glass (Garvis), and Jason Hendrix (Tina); 3 great-grandchildren, Kaslin Glass, Bella Glass, and Leann Hendrix; 4 siblings, Martha Reed, Betty Davis, Jeanette Moncrief, and Bobby Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Friday, November 28, 2025, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel.
