Mrs. Emily Victoria “Emmy” Stripling-Bosworth, age 30, of Rome, GA, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

Emmy was born in Rome, GA, on May 14, 1995, daughter of Ms. Rhonda Tant Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Alene Tant. Emmie was a 2013 graduate of Coosa High School where she was a member of the color guard. She attended Jacksonville State University for a time and was a member of the color guard for the Marching Southerners during the 2013 and 2014 football seasons. Emmy was a part of the Hash running group and loved each one dearly.

As her former band director, Dr. Kenneth G. Bodiford, described her, “Emily was one of those genuinely kind souls who lit up every rehearsal and performance with her sweet smile and spirit. She loved this band, her guard family, and everything it meant to be a Southerner. You could always count on her positivity and the joy she brought to those around her.”

A light in this dark world, Emmy loved deeply. Her friends were her lifeline and even in her times of struggle, was more concerned bringing joy to those around her. She had a passion for running and would start each morning with a 2-to-3-mile run. Emmy loved being outdoors in God’s creation which made running even more therapeutic for her. She has a passion for animals, not just her own, and loved any breed of dog. Emmy enjoyed socializing, swimming, but most of all she loved her family. She was of Christian faith and despite the trials she faced on this Earth, is now rejoicing in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for eternity.

Survivors include her mother, Rhonda T. Hamilton, Rome; her wife, Adrianne Bosworth, LA; 2 siblings, Brittany Teems (Chad), and Michael Turner; nephews and nieces, Caiden Carter, Mason Teems, Easton Teems, Bailey Barker, Ani Holtzclaw, and Rylee Turner; her beloved aunt and 2nd mother, Cathy Edwards (Garvin); Maw Maw, Faye Couey; her cousins, Trey Edwards (Mallory), and his children, Eloise and Adeline Edwards; 2 fur babies, Copper and Zoe; numerous friends whom she loved dearly.
