Azarius Omry Shaw, 28 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he repeatedly beat his 27 year-old wife in the face with his fist.
Reports added that the victim suffered visible injuries from the attack, which occurred at their home on Hawk Spring Drive.
Shaw is charged with battery.
