Antione Deante Knott, 34 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he lied to police about a crime.
Report said that Knott reported that he had been struck by a Rome Transit Bus on Reservoir Street.
Investigators said that the claims were later found not to be true.
Knott is charged with the false report of a crime.
