Gordon County’s latest financial report shows continued economic growth, with both SPLOST and LOST revenues up over last year.
For the period ending August 31, 2025, SPLOST collections totaled $1,340,935.51, a 7.4% increase from last year, while LOST collections reached $825,060.37, up 7.3%. Officials said the increases reflect strong local development and consumer spending.
Voters will also see three property tax relief measures on the Nov. 4 ballot. The proposals include a Flexible Local Option Sales Tax (FLOST) to shift part of the property tax burden to sales tax, renewal of the Education SPLOST (ESPLOST) for school capital projects, and an expanded homestead exemption for residents over 65. Early voting is now underway.
