The family of Easton Martin, the 19-year-old who tragically lost his life on Sunday afternoon, is inviting the public to join them in a heartfelt tribute this Saturday, October 4th — a final ride in Easton’s honor.

The procession, open to all who wish to participate, will begin at Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, located at 54 Baker Street in Shannon, GA. At 2:00 p.m., friends, family, and members of the community will line up for the funeral procession to Easton’s final resting place at East View Cemetery in Adairsville, GA.

Easton’s parents, Eli and Kristin Holcomb, shared a moving message titled “Tears for a Purpose” — words meant to comfort those grieving while reflecting the joy and faith Easton carried in his heart.

“It’s okay to cry about Easton. It’s okay to cry and miss Easton. It’s okay to let those tears roll down your cheek, but when it reaches the spot where the crown of your smile should be, please let those two meet.”

“Easton would never want to see any of us sitting around sad; he would even embarrass himself just to make us all glad. So those tears have a purpose — and just remember to leave a smile. Easton Martin was a boy who loved the Lord and would love to see you smile!”

The family encourages all who knew Easton — and even those who didn’t — to take part in this open ride to celebrate his life, his spirit, and his deep love for others.

For those wishing to participate, vehicles, motorcycles, and other respectful modes of transportation are welcome to join the procession. Organizers request that attendees begin arriving early to prepare for the 3-3:30 pm departure.
