The Chattooga County Coroner’s office along with the Georgia State Patrol are investigating an incident that claimed the life of a 15 year-old Armuchee High School student, Eli Espy.
Reports said that on the evening of October 9, 2025 Chattooga County Coroner Jeremy McElhaney was called to the scene of a motor vehicle crash in the 6500 block of Dry Creek road involving a motorcycle and a sedan.
Coroner McElhaney pronounced Espy, the motorcycle operator, dead on the scene. The investigation is ongoing and further information will be released by the Georgia State Patrol public information officer when it is available.
