Shantel Tiffany Pitt, 38 of Decatur, was arrested this week after report said she conspired with inmates at the Floyd County Prison to sneak contraband inside.
Reports said that Pitt was told to drop Cherokee Blue brand pipe tobacco at the Sara Hightower Regional Library in Rome where an inmate, Casey Johnson, was to retrieve it and smuggle it inside the prison.
Officers were able to confiscate the tobacco before it was smuggled inside.
Pitt is charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and items prohibited by an inmate.
