Brice Alan Williams, 38 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found driving a stolen moped on Redmond Circle.
Police added that while taking Williams into custody, he pulled away, refusing to cooperate.
A search of Williams then resulted in officers finding marijuana and unspecified controlled substances.
Williams is charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, distribution of marijuana, obstruction and failure to appear.
