Mrs. Rhonda Delleana Cornett, age 60, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, along with her husband, Lamont Hamilton Cornett, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Mrs. Cornett was born in Rome, Georgia on January 5, 1965, daughter of Barbara Black Burrows. She was preceded in death by two stepfathers, Doug Meers, and Jerry Burrows. Mrs. Cornett worked as a Dosimetrist for Harbin Clinic. She enjoyed her dogs, gardening, fishing, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include three children, Kaley Troup (Dakota), Kyle Cornett (Haley), and Kaden Cornett; five grandchildren; her mother, Barbara Burrows; a sister, April Bryan (Jarratt); a brother-in-law, Derek Cornett (Tamara); a nephew, Jonathan Bryan.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11am at Northside Church with Rev. Brad Prater officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Sunday from 4 until 6pm.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at the church on Monday at 10:30am and include Derek Cornett, Dakota Troup, Kyle Cornett, Jarratt Bryan, Jonathan Bryan, and Jeff Chasteen.
Flowers will be accepted but memorial contributions are preferred to Floyd Felines or Cancer Navigators of Rome.
