A Cartersville man is facing serious charges following an investigation into suspected child abuse, authorities confirmed this week.
According to the Cartersville Police Department, investigators received information on September 1st from a mandated reporter regarding potential abuse. Following an investigation by the department’s Criminal Investigations Division, 22-year-old Quisean Michael Witherspoon was arrested this week.
Witherspoon has been charged with aggravated battery and two counts of cruelty to children in the first degree.
