Anheuser-Busch is investing $9.2 million in its Cartersville brewery to upgrade equipment and increase production of Michelob ULTRA, the country’s fastest-growing beer brand and top seller in the Southeast, according to data from Circana, an American market research and technology company.

This investment is part of the company’s Brewing Futures initiative, investing over $300 million in U.S. facilities to support manufacturing jobs.

CEO Brendan Whitworth says the move will produce more iconic brands, drive local economic growth, and provide American-made products.

The brewery, opened in 1993, has seen over $230 million invested since 2020, part of nearly $2 billion across 100 U.S. sites in five years.

Cartersville State Representative Matthew Gambill calls it a boost to the economic vitality of our local economy and is grateful for the company’s support to drive job creation.

The facility produces 48 products, which they ship to 32 states. The investment will expand the brewery’s capacity to produce fast-growing brands, such as Michelob ULTRA, which sponsors major sports, including the NBA, MLS, the PGA Tour, and the upcoming FIFA World Cup and Olympic Games.

Anheuser-Busch, maker of Budweiser, Bud Light, Stella Artois, and Cutwater Spirits, says Brewing Futures focuses on creating and sustaining jobs, advancing technical skills training, and strengthening manufacturing career opportunities for veterans.
