A police chase on Taylorsville- Macedonia Rd in Bartow County this week resulted in the arrest a kidnapping suspect.
Reports stated that the body of Joshua Buchanan, a missing North Carolina man was found in a shallow grave Friday in Mitchell County N.C. He had been missing since September 22, 2016.
The suspects were named, Felicia Fox and Travis Bowman.
The suspects were believed to be in the area (Bowman has a Cartersville address) and local authorities were working with the US Marshall’s to locate the suspects. Fox was arrested in Polk County after a brief foot chase.
A Bartow County Sheriff Deputy located Bowman’s vehicle on Taylorsville-Macedonia Rd. A brief chase ended as Bowman collided with a BCSO patrol car head on.
Responders were dispatched to check out both the deputy and Bowman, who had been tazed.
Bowman and Fox will be extradited back to North Carolina on 1st degree kidnapping charges.
More charges will be filed as the investigation continues.
