A domestic disturbance at an Evergreen Lane apartment complex on [date] ended with two Cedartown residents facing criminal charges.
Keisha May Price, 37, was arrested and charged with simple battery, while Reginal DeFarrel Stamper, 54, was taken into custody on a charge of aggravated stalking.
Police said they were dispatched to the scene after reports of a loud altercation. Upon arrival, officers found Stamper outside the residence. He told police he was there to collect his belongings following a dispute with Price and claimed that an unidentified white male had pointed a red, white, and blue pistol at him during the confrontation.
Witnesses reported seeing Price strike Stamper several times and attempt to push him down a flight of stairs. Another witness stated that Price became aggressive as soon as Stamper entered the apartment.
During the investigation, officers learned that Stamper was under a court order prohibiting contact with Price. He was arrested at the scene for violating that order, with the charge upgraded to aggravated stalking.
Both Price and Stamper were transported to the Polk County Jail. Police say the investigation is ongoing into the involvement of a third party reportedly armed during the incident.
