A convicted felon, Antoine Deshaune Peak, 33 of Rome, was jailed this week after reports said he was found in illegal possession of a gun.
Authorities said that a search at his home on Leafmore Road resulted in them locating a 9mm handgun. The weapon was found during a probation search.
Peak is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
