Patricia Ann Morabito, 51, of Rome, was arrested this week after reports stated that she stole over $220,000 in funds from Apex Carriers.
Reports said that Morabito took the fund from May 1, 2023 until August 15, 2024 while working as an employee of the company.
Police added that Morabito utilized friends and family to unlawfully obtain the funds from the victim’s bank account.
Morabito is charged with felony theft by taking.
