Corey Anthony Blake Haygood,31 of Rockmart, was arrested in Floyd County this week after reports said he assaulted an ambulance driver on their way to the hospital.
Reports stated that Haygood became angry when the paramedic told him that he could not have any more morphine. Haygood proceeded to rip off his restraints and pulled out his IV while cursing and yelling.
The paramedic told officers that Haygood’s actions placed her in fear of her safety.
Haygood then became so erratic that the ambulance was forced to pull over and move to the side of Highway 101.
Haygood then left the ambulance and fled the scene.
Haygood is charged with simple assault.
