Nathanael Thomas Jordan, 33 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he illegally dumped a large amount of trash on private property along Roberts Road.

Game Warden Isaac Roberson received a complaint on July 12 and immediately launched an investigation.  Officers were able to use mail found in the debris to identify Jordan.   A Ring doorbell camera footage then allowed officers to see a U-Haul truck visiting the site twice on July 10, once in the morning and again in the evening.

The U-Haul was traced to another person, but did have Jordan listed as an alternate contact.

Jordan was later seen at the site cleaning up some of the trash. When questioned, he admitted to dumping the garbage, saying he believed the area was abandoned.

The remaining trash pile measured approximately 971 cubic feet.

Jordan is charged with unlawful dumping.
