Interstate 75 was closed down in Bartow County following a fatal crash near the GA-92 exit in the Bartow County-Acworth area Wednesda.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, troopers were called to the scene just before 7 PM near mile marker 278 after a gray Mazda 3 was traveling in the right lane when it hit an aluminum trailer ramp that was lying in the road.
Moments later, a blue Peterbilt tractor-trailer also struck the ramp, which caused a fuel leak. At that point, a black Ford Taurus SUV swerved off the road and hit the back of the trailer attached to the parked semi.
The driver of the SUV died from their injuries at the scene. Check back later as more becomes available.
