Cave Spring’s Rolater Park will come alive with creativity and community spirit this weekend during the 50th annual Cave Spring Arts Festival. The popular event runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dozens of artists and food vendors will be on hand, offering everything from paintings and sculptures to handmade crafts and tasty treats. Kristi Kent from Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism shared her personal connection to the festival: “It’s actually how I discovered Cave Spring, so it’s a really special event for me.”

Visitors can make a day of it by exploring more of what Cave Spring has to offer. Cool off in the town’s famous spring-fed swimming area—said to be Georgia’s second largest—or venture into the cave itself. Families often gather around the stream flowing from the cave, which is a hit with kids.

Downtown Cave Spring is also worth a visit, with local shops, restaurants, and historical sites like the two-story log cabin once owned by Cherokee leader Avery Vann. Guides are often available to share stories from the area’s past.

Saturday morning will kick off with the 38th annual Cave Spring 5K and one-mile fun run/walk. The 5K starts at 8:15 a.m., followed by the fun run and walk at 8:25 a.m.

Whether you’re coming for the art, the nature, or the history, this milestone festival promises something for everyone.
