Ashley Elizabeth Johnston, 19 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she attacked arresting officers following a wreck that she allegedly caused while driving drunk.
Police said that Johnston was driving drunk, and in possession of vodka and beer, when she crashed her car on Cartersville Highway near Mathis Road.
When police arrived to the scene they had to forcefully remove Johnston from her car. She then reportedly began to kick officers forcing them to restrain her.
Johnston is charged with two counts felony obstruction, three counts misdemeanor obstruction, simple battery against a police officer, open container, DUI, underage possession of alcohol and failure to maintain lane.
