James Cameron Summerour, 47 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he beat a man in the face with his fist.
Reports added that the victim suffered visible injuries to his face and to his knees.
The incident occurred at a location on Jackson Street back on May 4th.
Summerour is charged with battery.
