Syndey Haralson, 23 of Rockmart, was arrested this week after attacking a man and making false allegations against him.
Reports stated that officers were dispatched to a home on North Morgan Street following a domestic disturbance call.
Police said that when they arrived on the scene, they saw Haralson yelling and stating that she wanted to put all her belongings back inside the home.
She stated that her boyfriend and she began to argue, and he was “getting up in her face and was threatening her”. However, she could not tell police what he said. She then stated that he raised his arm, and she slapped him out of fear.
Haralson then stated that her boyfriend pushed her onto the ground and she tried to go outside to call, but then he then went to the porch and began to argue. She stated that all she wanted to do was stay there and that she would do anything to stay so that she didn’t have to move back in with her mom because she mistreats her.
While speaking with her boyfriend, he advised that she has these outbursts where she hits her head against the wall, and that he was finally done with it and wanted her to leave. He stated that she came inside and started yelling and cursing, and he told her she wasn’t going to cuss at him. When he told her that, she pushed him and then slapped him on the back of the head. He stated that she then flopped on the ground and tried to say that he pushed her.
Witnesses at the scene then cooperated with what the male victim was saying.
Haralson then told police that she had been raped by her boyfriend, but was not sure of the exact date but that she had audio recordings of it. Police said that she was unable to provide the recordings.
Haralson then told police she was forced to do oral, anal, and vaginal intercourse, but added that she was normally ok with it because it is her “fetish”, but she did not want to perform the acts.
Haralson added that she did not want to pursue any charges due to her wanting to rekindle the relationship.
Detective Tucker was informed of the allegations made by Haralson, but instead placed Haralson under arrest for Simple Battery.
