Candace Nicole Mims, 35 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she failed to send her children to school.
Reports stated that 15 year-old son missed 32 days of school, all of them unexcused, and her 8 year-old daughter 21 days of school, all unexcused, this school year.
The 8 year-old also had 37 tardies.
Mims is charged with two counts mandatory education for children.
