A 28 year-old Trion woman, Alliyah Hatcher, was killed in a car crash after she ran into the back of a tractor trailer Wednesday.
Reports said that Hatcher’s red Hyundai Elantra struck the rear end of the tractor trailer near the intersection of Ga. 53 and Ga. 140.
,According to Floyd County Police Public Information Officer Mike Bell, both vehicles were traveling westbound on US 140 when both attempted to make a left turn.
Emergency responders extricated Hatcher and transported them to the hospital, where she later succumbed to their injuries.
Bell added that speed played a part in the wreck and that it looks as if no charges will be filled.
