Another data center is planned for Bartow County. A Development of Regional Impact application was filed this week with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for Project Bunkhouse, a data center campus.
The filing describes the project as an 8.6-million-square-foot data center campus. The estimated buildout is $19 billion, and tax revenues are estimated to be between $40 and 50 million. The project will be completed by 2035. The site is located on Taff Road, south of Highway 113.
The 860-acre tract is currently zoned agricultural and would need to be rezoned to Business Park District. The property, located near Plant Bowen, is currently used as farmland. A hearing is scheduled for May 19th.
