Terry Lane Ferguson Jr, 39 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after reports said he hit a woman in the head with his fist.
Police added that the victim was left with visible injuries to her left cheek.
The incident occurred at a home on Cave Spring Road.
Reports went on to say that he was also accused of stealing a lawn mower from a man on Maple Road.
Ferguson is charged with battery and theft by taking.
