Daniel Joshua Lawrence, 37 of Shannon, was arrested this week after reports said he committed theft and forgery over the span of a few months.

On November 24, 2024, Lawrence allegedly sold a car title (1998 Honda Civic) to Title Max on New Calhoun Hwy and then a month later sold the same vehicle for $600.  Reports added that Lawrence knew the vehicle had an outstanding balance with Title Max and yet did not disclose that information to the new buyer.

Then, on April 1 of this year, Lawrence was accused of forging a legal document from the Burkhalter Firm and serving it to another person in a legal matter.  Lawrence is also accused of giving a false name of who he was and who he worked for while serving the legal document.

Lawrence is charged with first degree forgery and theft by deception.
