Mercey Dakoda Fields, 18 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she swapped tags on items at Walmart with the intent not to pay the correct amount.
Reports added that Fields proceeded to hide items in her shopping cart while checking out.
Police stated that the items totaled $161.67.
Fields is charged with theft by shoplifting.
