Malik Jamal Freeman, 28 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stole $3,000 in cash from Phillips 66 Food Mart on North Broad Street.
Reports said that Freman, a convicted felon was also found in possession of a gun.
Freeman is charged with felony theft by taking, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts obstruction, and three counts probation violation.
