Dustin Wade Green, 42 of Rome, was arrested on drug trafficking charges after he was pulled over for not wearing a seat belt near the intersection of Martha Berry Blvd and North 5th Avenue.
Reports said that after being stopped, officers discovered that he was driving on a suspended license for not paying his child support.
While searching Green as they were taking him into custody, police said that they found a handgun, digital scales, a large amount of methamphetamine packaged in numerous baggies and a large amount of marijuana.
Green is charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, drug trafficking, possession of marijuana, possession of drug related objects, driving on a suspended license and a seat belt violation.
